Local Debates

The local events that you organise are the core of the project. They make it possible to reach a large number of young people and to involve them into the debate about Europe’s future.

We need your help to organise local activities, all over the continent!

There are many activities you can aim for, like:

Street stalls with multi-lingual information materials, interactive games, music and theatre;

Debates between panels of candidates for the EP elections and audiences of young people;

Debates and round-tables organised in high schools, especially in disadvantaged areas, to inform pupils about the European Union, including simple presentation of the meaning of the Constitution and the importance of EP elections;

Mock Euro-elections held in schools and universities;

Short lectures on the importance of EP elections and the meaning of the Constitution;

Local seminars for young people, 1-2 days each, on local level, to debate on various European topics.

We are looking forward for other ideas that you might come up with!

Please contact the JEF-office for publicity materials and leaflefts with basic facts on the work of the Convention, the Constitution and the importance of the EP elections.
