On monday the 17th May 2004 10.00am was the official start of vote4future - the “firsttime and young voter” election campaign in Austria! This campaign is carried out by the “Bundesjugendvertretung (BJV)“ (– the national youth council of Austria) in cooperation with the European Parliament. The “Bundesjugendvertretung”is the umbrella organisation of all democratic children and youth organisations in Austria. JEF Austria as one of its members is strongly involved and supporting this campaign.

The front-runners of all parties supported the street and media action of
the vote4future kick of event.

The whole campaign has a central web platform with a lot of information
around the upcoming elections and all candidates.

The national TV and dozens of journalists jointed the campaign start of
vote4future. Austrian Members of the European Parliament like Hannes
Swoboda, Johannes Voggenhuber, Ursula Stenzl and Johannes Kronberger
informed about the importance of these elections.
