* GIVING EUROPE A FACE!!!

TEUS - Tallinn European Union Simulation

30.04.2004-7.05.2004 in Tallinn, Estonia

Europe and the European Union are constantly changing. The year 2004 will be a landmark in European history, with the biggest enlargement ever happened in European Union. Soon its decisions will affect almost 500 million people. And after a long process of integration the EU is about to give itself the first constitution.

But who represents these 25 diverse countries? Should the European Union be represented by a single Foreign Minister who speaks on behalf of the Union States and to which extent should the member states keep their sovereignty when it comes to foreign affairs?

These questions and many more will be discussed during TEUS - one week full of interesting people, hot discussions, lots of fun and new knowledge about EU and its processes.

Participants will have the chance to experience how the EU is working - this EU model conference simulates the work of the European Commission as well as the Council of the European Union with its 25 member states. Together with politicians young people will try to find answers and ideas to the urgent question what the face of the enlarged European Union could look like. And not to mention all the social activities that will make this week remembered for a longer time.
