September 12-16 – SEE Training Days: Strengthening Civil Society in SEE

SEE Training Days are becoming a regular annual training event, organized as a co-operation of JEF sections in SEE region. In 5 days 44 participants will obtain a detailed knowledge on project management and dealing with media.
Furthermore, participants will draft their own project proposals, which could be implemented in the near future. Training days will be attended also by the president of JEF Europe, Secretary-General of JEF Europe, 2 persons from JEF Europe EB, and 6 persons from JEF-Norway. 
July 4-17 – International Summer University: Brave New Europe – A New

Brave New Europe 2004 was a third annual international summer university, which gathered 35 best undergraduate students from 25 European countries. For two weeks the participants discussed European issues with some of the most prominent world known lecturers. In two weeks time the participants took part in the lectures, workshops, panel discussions, simulation game, the visits of governmental institution and foreign embassies, and wide range of social activities. 
11. May - Round table in Maribor on free movement of labour

On the 11. May JEF-Slovenia organised a round table on free movement of labour (sic!) in Maribor, the second largest Slovenian city, where the imposed restrictions caused particular concern. Among others, the speakers included representatives from the Ministry of Labour and the People's Party.
Of course, to make the event more colorful, JEF-Slovenia team also had an info-stand before the event, where many people stopped for a chat. Below the line, a pleasant day with Europe! 

JEF Slovenia goes to the streets to celebrate 9th of May

On a sunny Monday, 10th of May, a group of activists from JEF Slovenia celebrated the Europe day with an info stand in the centre of Ljubljana. Lively colours and interesting materials attracted the attention of many by-passers. Just a few days after joining the EU, the citizens were more then ever willing to learn more about the EU. The main focus were the coming European Elections! 

Celebrating Enlargement on the Borders!

JEF-Slovenia met with JEF-Austria on the 1st of May at the border-crossing in Sentilj/Spielfeld to celebrate the symbolic fall down of the border between Austria and Slovenia. To make the message clear and to animate the public, a group of JEffers set up an artificial wall, which ended in ruins...
