| New postcards of Give Europe a Face! Campaign During “Give Europe your Say! – Face the Constitution Debate” event in Brussels from the 21st to 23rd of January it was shown an exhibition with the best postcards we have received during the last months and the winner of the best postcard was nominated. From now on, you will have the opportunity to receive the new Postcards that JEF Europe designed for the special occasion. Bananas, Apples and Chillies are our new Face Europe! Enjoy them!
Give Europe a Face ... Give it postcards
We are very pleased to offer you one of the key tools of our "Give Europe a Face " campaign now.
Europe is still very often seen as an abstract, technocratic, over-regulated and not understandable goast that floats above us. EU-politicians are far less known then their national colleagues and the turn-out of the EP-election might be precariously low. "Give Europe a Face" will therefore make clear, that Europe can be catchy and visible, that Europe is more than an anonymous decision making power.
With our postcards, you can go out and promote that citizens can identify with Europe, that Europe concerns them and is not only a playground for weird politicians, lawyers and economists. On the front page of the card, you find sketch - faces to show that Europe has a Face - your Face, my Face, their Face. And - if people wish so, they have the possibility to show how they imagine Europe by filling in the free space that is left in the faces. On the backside, there is place for an additional personal statement. The cards will form an exhibition which will be launched at the first meeting of the newly elected European Parliament to remind parliamentarians that they represent the European people. The postcards can either be collected on the spot by you and then be sent to the JEF-Europe office, or they can be directly send by individuals.
